In 2008, several girls attending the Mirwais Mena School in Kandahar, Afghanistan were attacked by men with acid. This is a common tactic used by the Taliban, which opposes education for girls.

Eight years later, the girls who were attacked still experience physical limitations, including lack of full eyesight. Families live in fear to send their children to school. Without other options for transportation, 200 girls stopped going to school all together.

With the help of donors like you, we were able to quickly raise funds to purchase the first bus to prevent future attacks. This year, a second bus was purchased and we now send 100 girls to school safely every day. Continued funds are needed to pay for bus drivers, fuel and ongoing maintenance.

With your $15 monthly gift, you can send a girl to school and back for a whole month, every month.

YOU can help girls stay in school and avoid dangerous, life threatening situations on a daily basis. Will you help?
