When Pedro's mother and brother were sold to a plant to be sold off as meat, Pedro found himself completely alone. Some locals gathered money to purchase him from the plant and save his life, but when they couldn't then afford his care, they left him by the side of the road, where Pedro sustained major injuries to his leg.
One local came to Pedro's rescue and worked to get him to a facility where he could rest comfortably. But the open and infected fractures in his leg require multiple complex surgeries, and there's only one veterinarian in all of Azerbaijan able to perform them.
Without surgery, Pedro will lose his leg. With surgery, the prognosis is good that he'll be able to walk on all fours again. After surgery, he'll need physical therapy for several months to get him walking with strength, but this is far better than the alternative.
You can help Pedro heal from so much trauma and pain. Your gift will directly cover his surgeries, physical therapy, and recovery care. Soon, this stallion-to-be can begin to live the life a horse should have in a family or sanctuary.
Help us meet our goal of $15,000 to repair Pedro's leg so he can live a long life as the affectionate equine he is in a world that welcomes him. Funds raised over the goal amount will go to help provide medical care to other shelter pets.
Your gift will help animals like Pedro receive the care they deserve. You can help! What could be better than the gift of hope and healing?
A donation from you will ensure animals all over the country receive the medical care they so often desperately need. We Need YOUR Help Now!
